The Cosmic Symposium Playlist
Most of you know that I have a book coming out on October 1st, titled The Cosmic Symposium. This is my second collaboration with Rose Ides, who illustrated the book. It’s also my second release with Running Press books. You can pre-order a copy of the book here.
The book is based upon the Pythagorean concept Musica Universalis, which asserts that because sound is purely vibration, and because everything in the Universe has its own vibration, that the planets in the sky must each produce their own unique sound, who, together, make up a cosmic symphony. The entire book explores this metaphor through the lens of astrology, and how our individual charts act as our own personal Musica Universalis.
One of the elements we implemented in the process of creating this book is a playlist. There are three songs for each of the respective planets, and, when combined, gives the book its own symphony. Today Running Press put all of those songs together in a playlist on Spotify, and I am sharing it with you all in hopes that you’ll give it a listen. If you do, I’d love to hear what you think.
